Program Description:
This course prepares students for the U.S. History and Government Regents exam by reviewing critical events, themes, and concepts from American history. Students will explore topics such as the Constitution, major Supreme Court cases, social and political movements, industrialization, and America’s role in global affairs. The course emphasizes document analysis, essay writing, and the development of historical thinking skills, including cause and effect, continuity and change, and contextualization. Through targeted practice with Regents-style multiple-choice questions and essays, students will build the confidence and skills necessary for success on the exam.
