Living Science Regents Tutoring

Final Projects or Artifacts:

Students will create a comprehensive study portfolio, including a detailed review of major topics, annotated diagrams (e.g., the cell, the human body systems, ecological cycles), and sample written responses to Regents-style questions. The portfolio will also feature a lab-based investigation report that includes data collection, analysis, and conclusions, demonstrating mastery of key scientific practices.

Program Requirements:

  • No Tech
  • Instructor access to SmartBoard or Projector
  • Subject specific study guide
  • General Stationary - Ex: Pencils paper pens
  • Access to Printer (for Instructor documents)
  • Subject Specific Curriculum Materials (ex: student homework or textbook/worksheets)

Program Description:

This course is designed to prepare students for the Living Environment Regents exam by focusing on key topics such as cell biology, genetics, evolution, ecology, and human body systems. Students will engage in a combination of content review, practice with Regents-style questions, and hands-on activities to reinforce their understanding of scientific concepts and processes. The course also emphasizes critical thinking, laboratory skills, and test-taking strategies to build confidence and ensure readiness for exam day. Individualized support is provided to address each student’s unique strengths and areas for improvement.
