Magic Tricks

Final Projects or Artifacts:

Students will design and perform a magic routine featuring 3-5 tricks they have mastered, complete with a script and engaging presentation style. The routine will be recorded and accompanied by a written reflection on their learning process, showcasing their creativity and ability to entertain. This can serve as the foundation for future performances or public showcases.

Program Requirements:

  • No Tech
  • Instructor access to SmartBoard or Projector
  • General Stationary - Ex: Pencils paper pens
  • Access to Printer (for Instructor documents)
  • Basic magic trick equipment: decks of cards; coins; string; paperclips)

Program Description:

This course introduces students to the art of magic, focusing on sleight of hand, misdirection, and presentation skills. Students will learn a variety of tricks using everyday objects such as cards, coins, and household items, while also exploring the psychology behind creating illusions. The course emphasizes creativity, confidence, and showmanship, helping students develop their performance abilities. Through hands-on practice and peer feedback, participants will gain the skills to captivate an audience and build their own repertoire of magic tricks.
