Final Projects or Artifacts:

Students will design and present a scaled model or digital rendering of a unique building or space, complete with annotated floor plans, a 3D model, and a written explanation of their design choices. This project showcases their creativity and technical understanding of architectural design.

Program Requirements:

  • Instructor access to SmartBoard or Projector
  • Access to Tinkercad https://www.tinkercad.com/
  • Student Accounts Created Prior to First Session
  • Laptop 1 per student (ex: Chromebook; Lenovo)
  • General Stationary - Ex: Pencils paper pens
  • Ruler(s)

Program Description:

This course introduces students to the principles of architecture and design, blending creative expression with technical skills. Students will explore foundational topics such as spatial planning, structural integrity, and sustainable design while learning to interpret blueprints and create detailed sketches. Using industry-standard software and tools, they will design their own structures, incorporating elements of form, function, and aesthetics. The course emphasizes problem-solving, innovation, and the ability to visualize and communicate ideas effectively, making it ideal for students interested in architecture, interior design, or urban planning.
