Students will learn how to research existing podcasts, select compelling topics, and develop content that resonates with an audience. The course will cover essential skills such as storyboarding, scripting, conducting interviews, and the technical aspects of recording and editing. Students will also explore the ideal equipment for podcasting and the best streaming services for distributing their content. By integrating current events, this course aims to foster not only technical skills but also critical thinking and creativity. The final objective is for students to produce their own podcasts, showcasing their ability to communicate effectively and creatively through this modern medium.
For the final project, students will create, record, and distribute their own podcast. This project will include selecting a topic, researching the chosen subject, creating a storyboard and script, recording the podcast using available technology, and publishing the final product on a suitable streaming service. The podcast should reflect the student's understanding of effective storytelling and technical production skills acquired during the course.
