Students will choreograph and perform a short dance routine, either individually or as part of a group, showcasing the techniques and styles learned throughout the course. The project will include a written reflection on their creative process, the inspiration behind their choreography, and the skills they developed during the class. This performance can be recorded and included in a digital portfolio for future use.

Program Description:

This course introduces students to the fundamentals of dance, exploring a variety of styles such as ballet, jazz, hip-hop, and contemporary. Students will learn basic techniques, choreography, and the importance of rhythm, flexibility, and expression in movement. Through guided practice and creative exploration, participants will develop their physical coordination, self-confidence, and an appreciation for dance as an art form. The course emphasizes both individual and group work, encouraging collaboration and creativity in a supportive environment, while also discussing the cultural and historical significance of different dance forms.
