This course is designed for students looking to improve their skills in NBA 2K and compete at a high level in esports. Participants will focus on advanced gameplay techniques, including offensive and defensive strategies, shot timing, player builds, and team coordination. The course emphasizes understanding game mechanics, utilizing the play-calling system, and adapting to opponents' tactics. Students will analyze professional gameplay, practice teamwork in Pro-Am and MyTeam modes, and develop a strong understanding of basketball fundamentals within the game. The program fosters skills in communication, decision-making, and competitive mindset, preparing students for ranked play and esports tournaments.
The final project can include: A Gameplay Highlight Reel – A recorded showcase of key moments such as scoring runs, defensive plays, and team coordination. A MyPlayer Build and Strategy Guide – A breakdown of a custom player build, including attributes, badges, playstyle, and strengths/weaknesses. A Game Analysis Report – A review of a recorded match (personal or professional), evaluating decisions, execution, and areas for improvement. A Team Playbook or Strategy Plan – A written or visual guide outlining offensive sets, defensive schemes, and communication strategies.
