Program Description:

This course is designed to immerse students in the Italian language and its rich cultural backdrop. This course is structured to address the key language skills: speaking, listening, reading, and writing, tailored to match the developmental stages and proficiency levels of students across various grades. For younger students, the curriculum is centered around building basic language skills, introducing foundational vocabulary, and familiarizing them with Italian phonetics, all through engaging activities like songs, interactive games, and simple storytelling. As students progress to higher grades, the course content evolves to include more sophisticated aspects of the language, such as grammar rules, complex sentence construction, and an expanded vocabulary, along with an introduction to Italian literature and culture. For older students, particularly in high school, the focus shifts to advanced language skills, literary analysis, and preparation for any relevant proficiency exams. The course is designed to be dynamic and comprehensive, incorporating a variety of educational materials, including multimedia resources, to ensure a diverse and engaging learning experience. The primary objective of this course is to cultivate a profound understanding and appreciation of the Italian language and culture, while providing students with the skills necessary for academic achievement and personal growth in their language journey.
