The course emphasizes character-specific strategies, matchup analysis, and reading opponents' playstyles to gain a competitive edge. Students will also explore mental preparation, tournament etiquette, and analyzing professional matches to develop a deeper understanding of high-level play.
The final project can include: A Gameplay Highlight Reel – A recorded showcase of combos, defensive plays, and strategic wins. A Character Strategy Guide – A detailed breakdown of a chosen fighter, including moves, combos, strengths, weaknesses, and matchup tips. A Match Analysis Report – A review of a recorded match (personal or professional), identifying decision-making, execution, and areas for improvement. A Training Plan – A structured routine focused on improving execution, reaction time, and matchup knowledge.
