Final Projects or Artifacts:

Students will create an Idea Development Portfolio, which includes: A Concept Proposal – A structured document outlining their idea, target audience, purpose, and potential impact. A Mind Map or Ideation Framework – A visual representation of their brainstorming process, showing connections between ideas and possible directions. A Prototype or Proof of Concept – A mockup, model, or sample (physical, digital, or written) demonstrating the feasibility of their idea. A Pitch Presentation – A recorded or live presentation explaining their idea, supported by visuals and a clear, persuasive narrative.

Program Requirements:

  • Instructor access to SmartBoard or Projector
  • Laptop 1 per student (ex: Chromebook; Lenovo)
  • General Stationary - Ex: Pencils paper pens
  • Access to Printer (for Instructor documents)

Program Description:

This course is designed to help students cultivate creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to generate, refine, and develop innovative ideas. Students will learn brainstorming techniques, concept validation strategies, and structured frameworks like design thinking, mind mapping, and SWOT analysis to evaluate their ideas. The course encourages creative exploration across various fields, including entrepreneurship, product design, storytelling, and social impact. Through collaborative discussions, prototyping, and iteration, students will transform their initial concepts into well-structured plans ready for implementation or further development. Minimum Technology Requirements: Chromebook or iPad
