This course prepares students for the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS): Word certification by developing professional document creation and communication skills. Students will learn how to format documents, manage styles, create tables, insert graphics, perform mail merges, use references and citations, collaborate on documents, and apply accessibility features. Through real-world business and academic projects, students will build proficiency in creating polished, professional documents while preparing for an internationally recognized Microsoft certification.
The final project can include: A Professional Document Portfolio featuring business letters, reports, and formatted publications. A Research Paper demonstrating citations, references, tables of contents, and document organization. A Newsletter or Brochure utilizing graphics, layouts, and design principles. A Certification Readiness Portfolio containing completed skill assessments and certification practice activities.
