This course helps students develop the personal and interpersonal skills needed to succeed in school, relationships, and everyday life. Through engaging activities, discussions, and reflection, students will build competencies in self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making. Topics may include emotional regulation, empathy, communication, conflict resolution, goal setting, resilience, stress management, growth mindset, and leadership. The course creates a supportive environment where students can strengthen their confidence, develop healthy coping strategies, and learn how to work effectively with others.
The final project can include: A Personal Growth Portfolio – A collection of reflections, goal-setting activities, and evidence of skill development throughout the course. A Self-Reflection Journal – Written entries examining emotions, challenges, successes, and personal growth. A Community or Relationship-Building Project – An activity or presentation demonstrating empathy, teamwork, or leadership skills. A Personal Action Plan – A strategy for applying SEL skills in school, at home, and in future situations.
