The final project can include: An Original Music Track – A fully produced song using BandLab, incorporating loops, instruments, and effects. A Production Breakdown – A written or recorded explanation of the creative process, including inspiration, structure, and tools used. A Multi-Track Session File – A saved project showing layers, edits, and arrangement within BandLab. A Reflection on Sound and Style – A summary of musical choices, influences, and areas for growth.

Program Description:

This course introduces students to the fundamentals of digital music production using BandLab, a browser-based platform ideal for beginners and accessible on Chromebooks. Students will learn how to create, edit, and produce music using tools such as loops, MIDI instruments, audio recording, mixing, and effects. The course explores core concepts including beat-making, song structure, layering, and sound design, while encouraging creativity across genres such as hip-hop, electronic, pop, and more. Students will also develop skills in collaboration, revision, and digital publishing, gaining insight into how modern music is created and shared.
