About

About this program

This course introduces students to the fundamentals of coding and robotics using Ozobot robots, which combine color-based coding and block-based programming to create interactive learning experiences. Students will begin by using color codes and markers to guide robot movement, then progress to Ozoblockly, a visual programming platform that introduces key coding concepts such as sequences, loops, conditionals, and functions. The course emphasizes creativity, problem-solving, and logical thinking as students design paths, challenges, and automated behaviors. Through hands-on activities, students will explore how simple code translates into real-world robotic actions.

Final Projects or Artifacts:

Final projects or artifacts

The final project can include: A Custom Robot Path Challenge – A hand-drawn or printed course using color codes that directs the Ozobot through a series of movements and actions. An Ozoblockly Program – A coded sequence controlling the robot’s behavior, demonstrating use of loops, conditions, and functions. A Code and Design Explanation – A written or recorded walkthrough explaining how the robot follows commands and completes tasks. A Problem-Solving Reflection – A summary of challenges encountered during design and coding, and how they were resolved.
