A State Nursing License Research Report – A student-authored guide detailing the licensing and education requirements for entry-level nursing roles in their home state. This course offers high school students a comprehensive overview of the nursing profession, combining foundational science topics with real-world healthcare knowledge and career exploration. Students will deepen their understanding of human anatomy, body systems, infection control, vital signs, and basic health science, all within the context of nursing practice. The course also introduces the wide array of nursing pathways, from Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to Registered Nurse (RN) and Nurse Practitioner (NP), and explains the licensing requirements and educational steps specific to their state. In addition, students will explore workplace readiness skills such as communication, observation, ethics, and patient care basics, gaining practical insights into day-to-day responsibilities in various healthcare settings.
