Final Projects or Artifacts:

The final project can include: A Personal Introduction Video in Korean – Students introduce themselves using learned vocabulary (name, age, family, hobbies). A Korean Culture Presentation – A visual or written project exploring a topic such as traditional Korean clothing (hanbok), food (like kimchi or bibimbap), or a cultural holiday (e.g., Chuseok or Seollal). A Hangul Reading and Writing Sample – Handwritten or digital samples of reading and writing in Hangul, such as common phrases or a short letter. A Korean Pop Culture Reflection – A student-created response to a Korean song, drama, or trend, explaining what they learned or enjoyed.

Program Requirements:

  • Instructor access to SmartBoard or Projector
  • General Stationary - Ex: Pencils paper pens
  • Access to Printer (for Instructor documents)

Program Description:

This course offers students an engaging introduction to the Korean language and the rich cultural traditions of Korea. Students will begin learning essential vocabulary, grammar structures, pronunciation, and conversational phrases for everyday use. In parallel, the course explores key aspects of Korean culture, including holidays, food, music (like K-pop), history, customs, and modern daily life. Through interactive lessons, games, songs, and cultural activities, students will develop both linguistic skills and cultural awareness in a supportive and exploratory environment.
