Students will create a Book Club Reflection Portfolio, which includes: A written or video book review of one of the books read during the course, analyzing themes, characters, and personal takeaways. A creative project, such as a character diary, alternate ending, or visual representation (e.g., artwork, graphic novel adaptation, or multimedia presentation) inspired by one of the books. A discussion leader’s guide, including key questions, discussion topics, and activities designed to facilitate a meaningful book club conversation.

This course provides students with an engaging and interactive space to explore literature through reading, discussion, and critical analysis. Students will read a variety of books, including fiction, nonfiction, and diverse genres, while developing their ability to analyze themes, characters, and writing styles. The course emphasizes thoughtful discussion, creative expression, and connections between literature and real-world experiences. Students will also have the opportunity to develop leadership and communication skills by leading discussions, sharing interpretations, and engaging in collaborative activities.
