Final Projects or Artifacts:
Students will create an Algebra 2 Mastery Portfolio, which includes: A detailed step-by-step solution of a complex algebraic problem, demonstrating mastery of key topics such as logarithmic equations or polynomial functions. A real-world application project, such as modeling exponential growth (e.g., population, finance, or radioactive decay) or analyzing data using regression techniques. A written reflection or video presentation explaining a challenging concept in Algebra 2, breaking it down for a peer audience to demonstrate understanding.

Program Description:
This course builds on the foundational concepts of Algebra 1 and introduces more advanced algebraic principles to strengthen students’ problem-solving and analytical skills. Topics include polynomial and rational functions, exponential and logarithmic equations, complex numbers, sequences and series, conic sections, probability, and trigonometry. Students will engage in structured lessons, real-world applications, and rigorous practice to develop a deeper understanding of algebraic relationships. The course also includes test-taking strategies for standardized exams such as the Algebra 2 Regents or SAT, ensuring students are prepared for advanced math courses like Pre-Calculus and Calculus.
