Final Projects or Artifacts:
Students will create a Chemistry Exploration Portfolio, which includes: A visual presentation or model demonstrating a fundamental chemical concept (e.g., molecular bonding, reaction rates, or gas laws). A lab report from a home or virtual experiment, including hypothesis formation, data collection, and analysis. A research-based essay on a real-world chemistry application, such as the role of chemistry in medicine, environmental science, or sustainable energy.
Program Requirements:
Program Description:
This course provides students with a comprehensive understanding of chemistry concepts, focusing on problem-solving, critical thinking, and real-world applications. Topics covered include atomic structure, chemical reactions, stoichiometry, thermodynamics, acids and bases, and organic chemistry. Students will engage in guided practice, hands-on experiments (where applicable), and exam preparation techniques tailored to their individual needs. The course also includes strategies for success in AP Chemistry, Regents Chemistry, or other standardized assessments, ensuring students develop both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in chemistry.
