Final Projects or Artifacts:

Students will create a Biology Concept Portfolio, which includes: A visual model or digital presentation explaining a key biological process (e.g., photosynthesis, DNA replication, or the immune response). A lab report based on a home or virtual experiment, analyzing data and forming conclusions. A research-based written reflection on a contemporary biological issue (e.g., genetic engineering, climate change effects on biodiversity, or medical advancements).

  • Laptop 1 per student (ex: Chromebook; Lenovo)
  • Subject specific study guide
  • General Stationary - Ex: Pencils paper pens

Program Description:

This course is designed to help students develop a strong understanding of biology by reinforcing key concepts, improving problem-solving skills, and building confidence in scientific thinking. Topics covered include cell biology, genetics, evolution, ecology, human body systems, and biochemical processes. Students will engage in guided discussions, hands-on activities, and practice with real-world applications to deepen their comprehension. The course also emphasizes test-taking strategies for assessments, including AP Biology or state exams, and personalized instruction to address individual learning needs.
