Final Projects or Artifacts:

Students will perform an improv showcase, featuring a series of short-form games and skits created collaboratively in real time. The showcase will highlight their ability to think quickly, create engaging scenes, and work as a team. A reflective journal documenting their growth, favorite moments, and lessons learned in improvisation will accompany the performance as part of their final portfolio.

Program Description:

This course introduces students to the art of improvisational theater, focusing on quick thinking, creativity, and collaboration. Students will explore foundational techniques such as "yes, and" thinking, character development, and building scenes without a script. Through games, exercises, and group activities, participants will enhance their confidence, communication skills, and ability to adapt to unexpected situations. The course emphasizes teamwork, listening, and spontaneity, creating a supportive and fun environment where students can express themselves and develop skills applicable both on and off the stage.
