Final Projects or Artifacts:

Students will complete a polished, evidence-based essay on a Regents-style prompt. This project will showcase their ability to analyze texts, construct a coherent argument, and apply the writing skills developed throughout the course. The essay will serve as both a final assessment and a testament to their readiness for the ELA Regents exam.

Program Requirements:

  • No Tech
  • Instructor access to SmartBoard or Projector
  • Subject specific study guide
  • General Stationary - Ex: Pencils paper pens
  • Access to Printer (for Instructor documents)
  • Subject Specific Curriculum Materials (ex: student homework or textbook/worksheets)

Program Description:

This course is designed to help students excel on the English Language Arts (ELA) Regents exam by strengthening their reading, writing, and critical thinking skills. Students will analyze literary and informational texts, practice constructing evidence-based written responses, and refine their essay-writing techniques. The course emphasizes understanding key literary devices, developing clear and organized arguments, and improving grammar and syntax. Through personalized instruction and practice with Regents-style questions, students will gain the skills and confidence needed to succeed on the exam.
