  • General Stationary - Ex: Pencils paper pens
  • White canvas sneakers

Program Description:

Dive into the vibrant world of sneakers in this engaging and dynamic course designed specifically for middle school students. Over ten weeks, students will explore the historical significance, design principles, and cultural impact of sneakers while learning practical skills in shoe repair and customization. The curriculum emphasizes a blend of creative design, environmental awareness, and hands-on technical skills, providing a comprehensive understanding of both the artistic and scientific aspects of sneaker creation and maintenance. Students will have the opportunity to understand the materials and processes involved in sneaker production, the importance of sustainability in the footwear industry, and the basics of starting a sneaker-related business. Through a mix of lectures, hands-on workshops, and guest presentations, participants will gain a broad perspective on how sneakers can influence fashion, culture, and even ethical consumerism.
